This leads into a discussion on people with their fetish for 'fast rail' services between capital cities - we've already got good airport infrastructure and services between the capital cities, with the cost of the infrastructure for fast rail, you'd end up paying twice as much as a flight and take more than twice as long to get to your destination. I'm of the opinion we let the Overland rail service die its long overdue death. |
