I've just looked up info about what the 3 brands I mentioned have in common... and I was wrong. They do share a fair bit in some models, but most are quite different apparently.

Sorry, my bad.

Still think this is inevitable though having more and more manufacturers sharing simply to stay afloat. Margins are too small in overcrowded segments.
