I tried out their system a few months ago, but it wasn't near the auction's end so I wasn't contacted, I suppose they're concerned about their buyer's premium at the tail end of the auction. I've bidded on other items genuinely before, but not successfully. The winning bidder in this case hadn't made a prior bid, put in a bid minutes before you'd expect all the snipers to step in, and may well be a valid enthusiast... If you have money, you don't have to live in the big money suburbs.
