Hi all
Front right ABS wire to the hub had rubbed thru the insulation and broken the wire Both the ABS and ESP lights are on - faulty wire so they should be on I've repaired the wire with a 400mm section from a wrecker car - Soldered joints - insulated and heat shrink over the soldered connection area The ABS and ESP lights are still on after the repair I've plugged in an OBDII scanner to check / clear the code - there are none Question 1 Will it show on OBDII scanners or is another scanner required Question 2 Will it go away (reset itself) after xx amount of starts I've pulled the ABS fuse and relay and started the car (not driven anywhere) turned it off - plugged them back in - lights still on On a road test (60-KPH) and standing on the brake pedal it pulls up with no shudder on the pedal and it doesn't lock a wheel - so assuming ABS is working There is a about 50 words in the owner's handbook about ESP It says SET/RESET - not sure if this will fix it or not Having trouble getting into the Main Menu to then progress to this option Last edited by rodo; 25-03-2022 at 07:37 PM. |
