I have been trying to remove the trans from my ba1 wagon wreck to put into my ba2 wagon that decided it didn't like 3rd of 4th gear anymore. The issue i've come across is that the engine seems quite reluctant to let go of the gearbox. I've removed all of the bellhousing bolts, the tailshaft, the cooling lines, the shifter bracket and the crossmember is unbolted and currently being held up with a jack and yet the gearbox is unwiling to budge. I can't get anything into the seam to pry the seal apart and pulling on it seems futile.
If someone with a bit more knowledge than myself is able to tell me if there's any bolts or something simple that i'm missing that would be greatly appreciated, Cheers. |
