Default got my police ECU, sticker says EEC-IV... WTF??

Hey guys. I have recently purchased a Police ECU for my EL futura. Just to clarify, i was told by ford that my falcon may not run with this ECU as there were 42 different computers between the EL/EF series.

Has anyone fitted one??? did you have any problems???

I have not fitted it yet, as my car is still being repaired from my not at fault accident b4 xmas.

Thanks
