Do you have a wireless network? If you do, it's a problem with continuous downloading that the connection can drop out. It happens to me all the time, as I have wireless and am constantly downloading torrents. It's annoying having to restart the router everytime it drops out.

Here is the link for dosbox. It isn't a torrent so you'll be safe. http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1 . D-fend is linked from the same page. It is optional, but I have found it makes dosbox a lot easier to use. A great program, it's good fun running all the old games again. Good luck.

Have you seen the high resolution version? Runs great on XP, even without dosbox and looks far nicer than the old version too. You can download it here http://hrp.duke4.net/ . The download is for the whole game, not just the individual graphics upgrade.
