Well it's on again and this year it will be bigger and better than ever! Saturday, November 4th 2006 at Bolton Park Wagga Wagga This weekend is promising to be the biggest forums event held and is a great oppotunity to get together, have a great time, but also a relaxing weekend celebrating all things Blue Oval. It's always a very laid back weekend where the emphasis is not on winning trophies but rather on meeting new people, having fun and sharing your pride and joy with others. The main event is of course the Show and Shine on Saturday, but we will also be holding a BBQ and cruise on Friday Night, an after show dinner on Saturday Night, and a farewell breakfast on Sunday Morning. This year we have our very own website www.waggafordday.com.au which has all the info you need to join in the fun. HUGE thanks to Russ for all his hard work on getting the site online and up to date, and also to big_pete who put in many hours designing and creating the site. There is also an info thread which can be found HERE . Entries are open NOW to ANY ford, regardless of make, model, size or modifications. We are pushing for 200 cars this year, and with over 100 attending last year, it is very possible! Click HERE to download entry form . Entry is a mere $10 and all proceeds from the day go to St. Vincent De Paul, so let's get together and help out those less fortunate than us. If you have any questions or are looking for further information on accomodation etc, check out the info thread in the NSW events forum, or drop me an email at waggafordday@tpg.com.au or PM. Well given that it's not too far away now, I thought I wouldpost up the latest schedule for the weekend. There have been a few little changes but everybody will get a copy of this when I see you. Friday: 10-1pm: Display of cars in Sturt Mall. Still places available for this, and it is free to enter. PM me if you're interested! 4-pm: Meeting the cruise groups in Wagga. The meeting point for all cruise groups is Homebase Centre on Hammond Avenue (cant miss it). When you arrive in Wagga, go here and I will meet you and show you to your motels if you need help finding your way around. 6pm: Meet at Bolton Park Carpark to organise dinner cruise. We will leave at 6:30pm for a 30minute cruise around Wagga and to our dinner destination. 7pm: Dinner at Oura winery. This is where the cruise will finish up, and we'll all have dinner here. Around $20 for a good sized main meal, you cook your own steaks etc. Large outdoor area with plenty of room to let the kids run around etc, and also stretch your legs. And yes it is a winery but be sensible if driving! Rest of Friday is up to you guys! Saturday: From 6am: Entry to Bolton Park available, and you can come and setup your car, start cleaning etc. 9am: All Cars must be present and ready for show opening. 9am: Dick Johnson Entourage leaves from Bolton Park to Wagga Airport to pick up the drivers. This one is by invite only. 10am: Show opens! 10:30am: Judging begins. 12pm: Entrant Quiz closes. Entries must be in the box by 12pm! 12:30pm: Judging finishes. 1:30pm: Presentation of Trophies and Entrant Quiz Prizes. 3pm: Expected close (can begin moving cars). 5:30pm: Aftershow cruise if there is enough interest. 6:30pm: Dinner at a local venue TBA for all interested. Sunday: 9am: Breakfast at Astor Hotel - travellers can depart from there as it is on the Highway. I'll update the first post of this thread with these details also. A reminder to all to book your accomodation if you havent already, there are a number of interstate travellers coming for the weekend so don't miss out! Looking forward to seeing you in November! - B2TF
