Default Snorkel mod; what have they done?

In another facinating chapter of my LPG debugging saga .. after asking the manufacturer (given up on the installer), to fix the LONGstanding problem with cold/cool starts, they come back telling me they've done this-and-that. But they also tell me that they have cut a hole in the snorkel (AU V8) to the airbox to stop surging at highways speeds. Funnily enough I never had a problem with this, nor did I ask them to "fix" it, nor did I want a hole cut in my "CAI" (kind off) snorkel! The hole is about 5cm diameter at the lowest point of the snorkel. It doesn't seem to have affected either LPG or petrol behaviour, but I'm pretty PO'd about it. I assume it will only be detrimental to petrol performance/drivability?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement?
