Question Cortina with low compression,1600 c/flow

My Cortina 1600 gt crossflow Kent eng ,has got very low compression, tested it recently and all cylinders are almost identical on 110 psi ,all within a pound or two,,although car runs fairly well ,,,no smoke and seems to have good torque,,,supposedly only done 35 k,s since reco,,,,any ideas as to the problem ,,could it be valves ,head gasket,,,also can anyone suggest a Workshop to take it to,in Melb ,or Mechanic who specialises in these kinds of motors ,as I am new to these motors ,,,thanks

seems a little low but it depends on the cam and head combo , a 1300 head will offer more compression but I wonder if it's realy worth it ? still it's a simple easy to work on motor and very reasonable parts wise

I thought they were a low compression engine...
110 PSI pretty normal i think...
If all cylinders are within %10 there is no issue....
