Jackstand placement for AU wagon.

Hi, Where are the jackstand placements for an AU wagon?, I'm needing to replace the rear rotors and I'd like to put it up on stands rather than a jack, I don't want to get squashed!. I have two work shop manuals and neither of them give the location for jackstand placement, can anybody help?.

I put mine under the axle housing either side of the diff centre. Just ensure there are no obstructions that may be damaged when you release the jack. (keep the jack "just" pressurised under the diff for extra insurance though).

Thanks Dok, do you jack it up via the diff and then insert the stands as mentioned?

Yep, thats what I do, have the stands ready to go when you reach the desired height, then slide them in & (carefully/slowly) drop the jack onto them. Minimise the time under the vehicle however until the stands are in place for safety sake.

I was driving through Delahey yesterday and saw a VE SS on a sloping driveway with the front RHS jacked up to max on a trolley jack with a bloke working underneath. Not a stand in sight, not even a wheel chock.

Guess that's why he's driving a Holden...
