From experience i can say that a well fed and well cared for cat will have very little intererst in killing anything alive let alone a bird.. They should be locked away at night as well.
If its peeing on stuff its most likely a stray Tom that needs to be removed and humanely Euthenised.

Our cats were well fed and still chased and killed birds - they see something moving around, they chase it, catch it, toy with it for a while and kill it, then leave the largely uneaten carcass lying around.

The cat bath was one I heard of. Some people had a problem with another cat coming in through the cat door and eating their cat's food. Their own cat was too scared to do anything. So when they figured out the problem, the set about fixing it. The cat door was set so the cat couldn't get out. The intruding cat came in and started eating the food. They shut the room, grabbed the trapped cat and dunked it in the nearby filled laundry trough, then let it, drenched, out the door. It no longer came back to their house.

What did the giant canary say to the pussycat? Here kitty kitty kitty...

Seriously, its only in their nature to spray and hunt/kill other animals, and its hard to change that so you should be humane. Remember, we humans brought them to Oz.

The best thing imo use a trap.

Do you also like the spray? If so, after capturing this cat, The DOK will be than happy to escort it to your door step. Enjoy.

You cant just catch a cat and take it to a vet and get it put down. Thats someones pet. If anyone dose that to either one of my two cats, they will be waking up in a hospital bed some months later. And im not sure what kind of pet the cat is going to kill. A bird? or a rabbit? Arnt those things meant to be in cages. Its in a cats nature to hunt and kill things.

Its funny, I dont think one person has mentioned talking to the owner. Just look around where the cat mainly hangs around and knock on few peoples doors. They mite be more than willing to keep the cat inside at night or get it desexed.

Owner?? I'll start my doorknock at my own home as this is the only place I've ever seen it (briefly) & I sure as hell am not waiting up all night for it to (maybe) come visit & follow it home (if it has one). As I mentioned "its illegal in this district to allow cats to roam free at night" & as such it WILL be caught (picking trap up on Friday) & it will be taken to the local pound (according to local ranger). I appreciate your love of cats, but sadly you're an orphan in this thread!!!

cats hate water. if you catch it near your car, or anywhere you don't want it, spray it with water. it shouldn't come back. if it does it just really really loves you!
is it a stray or someone's pet? you can't capture it if its someone's pet.
but chances are its a male (female cats are pretty clean) and just like dogs they are messy little buggers if not desexed.

Not worth the fine (water restrictions). This cat seems to be a stray, reminds me of an old girlfriend (many years ago) she kept turning up uninvited trying to annoy me too, can't remember her ever pi$$ing on my car though. As already stated "I can legally trap it if its out roaming around" it is against the law in the City of Casey.

The City of Casey since feburary 1999 has had an order in accordance with the provisions of clause 25 of the 'Domestic (Feral & Nuisance) Animals Act 1994'. The order states:
"If a cat is found at large outside the premises of its owner at any time, the owner is guilty of an offence".

I dont know why you would tell me to get over it. I mean I make one post quoting your big funny joke, and you tell me to get over it. Not like Iv been thread stalking you man.

It is easy to say on the net they would end up in a hospital bed, that dosnt mean I wouldnt or couldnt do it in a real life situation.
