Question Facial hair, your take

Guys and girls, Your opinions please
"Facial Hair, dig it or not?"

Reason I've had some form of goatee since I was 16 years old about 95% of the time and this morning my housemate convinced me to shave it all off (I feel naked!!!) he thinks it looks much better so your opinions please

Yeah I am not a fan of facial hair sculpturing...LOL

I mean some people, seriously, must spend ages making it look perfect; its a tad ghey if you ask me. Take the average person off that show Pizza for example.

I dont have anything against a well kept goaty or similar.

I basically dont shave, I have a trimmer, I trim and then let it grow for a few days then trim again. I honestly think Ive shaved a handful of times over the past 12 months.

I hate the feeling of being freshly shaved.

Luckily at the moment my two jobs dont require me to shave, and I go to uni. Also the missus doesnt care either way, and she seems to not mind when its longer.

Im not heaps attached to my goatee/mo combo... but i look even more ridiculous without it, so it stays (i look about 10 years younger and 50kg fatter when i shave it off lol). Trimming not a big deal, run a razor over the top of it to keep the stray bits at bay! Takes longer to shave what's left every morning.

i'd like to be able to actually grow proper facial hair. i'm 21 and it's still sparse as. i let it grow over the weekend and by monday morning it just looks like i sat there for 20 mins with a black BIC and drew on about 100 or so hairs. so i'm stuck having to shave FULLY all my life or look like a git. much rather your guys situation.

I agree with your housemate - facial hair on woman just looks bad.

Facial hair separates the men from the boys ;) Women on the other hand, is a whole different story, lets not go there but

Is bum fluff in the same class as facial hair?

It takes me weeks to get a 5 o'clock shadow.

Now this is some thing i hate doing. I shave first thing and by bloody lunch time, it look like i didnt bother. I did grow a full beard once when my daughter was very young. The day i shaved it of she screamed blue bloody murder, didnt know who i was. I must admit though the best thing i did do was by an electric shaver. Makes it tolerable.

Oh I apologise. I just assumed you were a woman as you cared what your male housemate thought of your looks.

Might have to invest in one shortly I reckon!
I don't mind facial hair, but I personally don't think it would suit me.

Cheers

I've currently got a beard, but it's a very on and off thing. I've got an electric shaver but I can still never be stuffed shaving. I'm not really into the goatee. With me it's either all or nothing (well, I might give a couple bits a little bit of a trim). I might shave again in the next week or so

My wife absolutely hates it when i don't shave.
A few years ago i grew a mo' and goatee and would'nt shave it off. She got that upset that she ended up crying and having a sook.
So no two guesses what i do to p15s her off these days.

I let mine grow ... and then shave it off and stay clean shaven ... then I let it grow back again for a few weeks (sometimes I trim and keep it neat ... other times I just let it grow wild .... I look like a homeless person sometimes ... people steer clear :hihi: )

At the moment I have a 2-3 day growth ... in 2 minds whether to shave or not at the moment.

I look a lot younger when clean shaven.

yeh, i look homeless in about 2 weeks. When beard starts to get itchy then i have a shave, but leave the mo and sideburns for that 70's look. I look hideous without some facial hair!

will eventually let it grow though for the ned kelly look!
