For all the doubters, Australia is just about to smash South Africa.
Australia made 6/377, Matthew Hayden smashing a century of only 66 balls. South Africa need 84 of 13 balls with 1 wicket left. Go the Aussies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was all over next ball, Australia win by 83 runs Last edited by BFXRScott; 25-03-2007 at 07:54 AM. |

Watched the last 10 overs of the RSA innings, to see them crumble like that was strange didnt think that would happen they were on target. Will AUS take back the #1 spot or stay #2

I thought that South Africa was a great rival to Australia for the World Cup.
We are helped by the departure of Pakistan, as well as the likely departure of India. But still, nothing beats a test match. |

The form of the guys was troubling, being spanked by England 3-0 in the last 3 games at home then to go to NZ, post a few nice 300+ scores and have them run down with ease. When I saw the scorecard as I woke up, I thought.. oh no, not again. Hayden obviously had a great knock but I hope it's not the only knock we'll get out of him, we've persisted with him for way too long so I hope it finally pays off before he retires. Good to see India gone, serves them right for making my daytime job a nightmare and calling me up trying to sell me bollocks while I'm cooking dinner. I'm surprised at the amount of rain affected matches. I hope rain doesn't play a factor at the business end of the tournament, even if it does favour us in a particular match. |

i wouldn't be too worried if I was a South African.. They had it under control until the skipper got cramp, that was a free wicket for us that we couldn't seem to get with the ball and the turning point of the match.. Sri LAnka is the team to beat imho...

I agree with Sri Lanka though, they are the troubling team. I would have put New Zealand up there on par with them, however they have lost a big cog in their recent good form - Lou Vincent - so I am not so sure now.
