After a MSN discussion with Dark Horse he brought up an interesting point. There seems to be an ongoing trend of people who either own multiple AU's or have "upgraded" from one AU to another (and another etc). There have even been members that have moved to a different car and then come back to the AU fold.
Dark Horse started rattling off quite a few names of "multi AU owners" either at the same time (like GK having 2) or having owned many over a period of time (JC, your at about 4 aren't you?. Falkeen is at 3). So heres an interesting poll. How many AU's have you owned? (past and/or present) Seems that those who have them grow to love them.

2 for me. Was going to get a VT Commode in 1999 but had to wait too long for a wagon, so bought an AU wagon brand new instead. Loved it so much I picked up an ex-RTA s3 Futura wagon from the auctions for my wife when her Camry got too long in the tooth.

Wow, so far 60% of AU owners have owned 2 or more! Who says we have no taste! Be interesting to see if the trend continues past the 5 people who have voted thus far.
Also, If you had an AU stock, and now your AU is heavily modified, does that count as 1 or 2 cars?

Mine's my first but I never wanna get rid of it :P
Even when I upgrade I wouldn't mind upgrading to a Fairlane or LTD - in the AU model of course! I used to hate them until I was linked to pictures of TS50's by mates when I started talking about buying an EF/EL - then I fell in love with the AU.

just one so far and hopefully i'll kep it for ever..it's too good a car to sell. would love a t- series or an xr8 for a plaything sometime in the future. :
it's funny how poeple hate the au till they got to know them, then they'll swear how good a car they are- personally i hated the series 1 forte( the grille and dash espessially)... but the series 2/3 just look and perform so well.
