Default au xr6 injectors/lifters

hey all....sounds like my injectors/rail are making more noise than they should...could this be my hyd lifters rattling? how much does it cost to get the lifters replaced

Make sure you have clean oil for the lifters and a clean fuel filter so the injectors get enough fuel.When the ecu sees less fuel it increases the injector pulse to compensate and goes noisy as they work harder.
The other very common offender is loose exhaust manifold bolts or leaky exhaust gaskets

just done oil change today..fuel filter replaced like 8000km ago...just had new extractors fitted....but there is leak in the weld from the new cat....getting fixed this week....has been doing this for like 3 months...but not as noisy

This may be causing your air fuel ratios to go very lean and the ecu is pumping the injectors hard to keep the engine safer.
