Took our 4,3 & 1 year olds up there early October and couldn't have come away much more impressed. Ok Crocuseum could use more shade, bought it though. I expected either Aussie and underdone or over commercial, but it is a nice balance of both. My wife liked the fact that the handlers actually seemed to be scared of the crocs - respect them as wild not treat them like big pussycats. Liked the fact the food was food not overpriced cardboard, and drinks didn't have lids or straws to protect the animals.
Well cared for, tidy clean and the staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there - nice change. Outback Spectacular also impressed and for much the same reason, Australia and Australian's at their best. No racism or insult there, just impressed that they never seem to be apologising for not being American or European, etc., just happy welcoming and inclusive Aussies sharing their country and love of it. |

Some people are just plain STUPID. Seems I have 2 mates that work there ... lmao .... one in security and another in Photography ...... lmao.

My wife loves dolphins etc. I 'd say we have been to The Pet Porpoise pool no less than 15 times. She has the pics with the fish in her mouth and the dolphin taking it out etc. Even the walrus thing kissed me on the cheek ( could almost be my twin bro ).
Aust zoo, we might be heading up mid Jan. |
