And the car is a.....
FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500KR http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/12/n...-t-t-unveiled/ I just hope it isnt a dud. It's hard to remake something that worked well in the 80's! |

Hmmph....first 'Bionic Woman', now 'Knight Rider'. It seems OK to bag out music, movies and TV shows from the 70s and 80s, but there's nothing but remakes and rip-offs around these days.
Come up with something original FFS! Having said that I'll check out the first episode/telemovie to see what it's like, but my guess is :

The sad part is in a way, kids will be running around thinking its the coolest thing on tv and why hasn't it been on tv before.

The car changing body style just sounds like Viper with hints of Transformers added in.
They already tried to revive Knight Rider with that hopeless Knight Rider 2000 crap. But at least they stuck with a Trans Am (it was the concept car that essentially became the last Trans Am). Should have been black though.

The only real saving grace for it at this point (except for the 'stang) is that it follows on. This is actually being done as a sequel....unllike that bloody stupid 'Bionic Woman', which is a remake. I told my kids they should have done it as a 25 years later type of thing, as it would have worked better.
Perhaps that will make a difference to 'Knight Rider', as it may also pull in those that watched the original 4 seasons.

I guess you'll be watching it then, as that is the K.I.T.T 'Attack version from the show.

There's also two other versions of KITT to be used... though the others may not get the special second upside-down spoiler for uplift!

OMFG AWESOME!!!!
How sad is it that I have every episode of Knight Rider (including KR2000) on my hard drive and regularly watch episodes, this kinda excites me LOL. I thought they were making a movie in 2008 as well, using a koenigsegg Anyway, I'm excited. Now does anyone remember "Automan", Glen A. Larson's other show from the early 80's? Will they bring that back too?

Since they appear to have completely run out of ideas....I'd say don't be too surprised what comes next.

If they try remaking 'Welcome Back Kotter' or 'Happy Days' that'll be the last straw.
