Default Double din head unit

Has anyone changed the factory head unit in their fairmont ghia or fairlane to an after market double din unit? Did you have any dramas changing over units and also once fitted did the unit sit flush with the rest of the centre stack?

Cheers..

do a search .. there was a thread on this fairly recently matey

it fits easily.. may need to trim some of the inner lip off the dash tho

it depends how far back your unit sits in its cradle etc as it if it sits flush with the dash stack

grab a Aerpro adaptor harness from supercheap and just plug that in and get one that matches your Headunit then no chopping of wires

the BIGGEST issue is the amount of wireing going out the back of the unit.. not much space there
