I've just finished replacing the positive battery terminal on my car. When I turned the keys to on to make sure everything was ok I noticed it was displaying the word "FAIr" where the odometre displays. Anyone have any idea what this means? It returned to the odometre reading once started.

I've had a quick look through my Max Ellery's manual but can't seem to find anything.

Thanks guys. The Fairmont spec cluster makes sense as that's what it's based on. I've just never seen it before. Thanks again.

Yeah maybe to make sure all the functions work due to the Fairmont cluster being different to forte etc?

hehe that made me giggle as ppl mentioned above its the cluster series, only appears on first startup after battery reconnection. happens when it connects first time back to BCM and EEC. also reinitializes its internal chip, which holds, odometer readings and calibration.
