I've had 4 of them and the only problem i had with one of them is the wiring loom had an earth problem and wanted to melt everything.
I was going to put a Mitsubishi turbo 2.6 in one and use it at the drags, but then i bought the cortina.

I love em! Would love to find a coupe in decent nick for a toy.Had one years ago when I was working at a car yard.It was a trade-in & I bought it for $326 including a roadworthy cert.I tried for 3 months to kill it but ended up selling it to my brother for $500 who sold it later to a mate for $700.
It was nearly bulletproof,the only thing I replaced were the front struts. |

Go the dattos!!!! Ive got a 1000 myself. If it is original and stock keep it as is. Dattos are only getting rarer and more valuable and if you are going to race it panels etc.. will be quite costly. check out www.datsun1200.com or www.maddat.com for any info ya need maddat have a heap of conversion bits. Oh yeah ya got any pics?
