I have been asked to organise a Charity Quiz night to raise money for the Cancer Council.
I have looked at various websites for Facts etc..But I am after some really tricky questions. I want to put some car related ones in there too. Does anyone have some good questions (and the answers) that I can use to help aid this great cause. The trickier the better! Cheers Col

Be a little bit thoughtful about your questions. They need to answerable by at least some of those at the trivia night.
You can come up with some car questions fairly easily, lets choose movies as an example: What colour was Eleanor in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds? What model was the Ferrari that appeared in Ferris Beuller's Day Off? Which 2007 movie starring Will Smith featured the new Mustang? These are just a few. Depending on what the club is you're doing this for, you should try and hove some questions related to that. Footy questions for a footy club, tennis questions for a tennis club etc. It can also be good to write some questions about what is in the news the week of your event (obviously you'll need to wait until the event is close to write these). Some current ones might be: What is the name of the music industry identity who organised a hoax on Glen Wheatley, suggesting he will do a TV reality show whilst on home detention? Which two companies have gone to court to use the colour purple to sell chocolates? I can also recommend a series of questions where you play a section of popular song, (from a variety of styles and decades) where you suddenly stop playing the music and then participants must write down the next line of the song. This can be great fun with the more popular songs where EVERYONE present knows the lyrics. Encourage them to sing along. You need a reasonable PA system for this of course. Just a few ideas. |

bigev, you might want to stipulate which version of Gone In 60 Seconds, technically there's two correct answers for that question the way it is ;)
If you're looking for random style questions to throw in, perhaps spend an hour or so on Wikipedia scouring random articles until you find something interesting or noteworthy to put on. Although, being wiki, I'd try verify it as true before putting it in.

Watch some TV of some of the more "unpopular" quiz shows and steal there questions and answers. This will mean the show has done the research and you can assume that there isn't going to be any argument over the answer is etc.
Also, they are fairly good at getting questions that aren't unanswerable but also aren't like a grade 5 maths test (although I doubt alot of people today would pass one!!). If you use a varity of shows to take questions from you reach a point where someone may have watched the show and go I know the answer instead of only reaching those people who study books and movies all thier lifes. If that all makes sense? Good Luck!
