Default Dave Ritchie in jail!

In the latest street machine there's an article about how current Summernats Grand Champion Dave Ritchie has been jailed for 3 years for car theft. Apparently he's been unemployed an jacking cars as a way to fund the building of the sik green XP!
What a *****, messin with other peoples cars to have his dream! ****er!

I'm glad Street Machine had the guts to publish it.

Hard to believe I know, but Street Machine probably reaches more people than those that read this and the other forums where I broke the news (thanks to the local rag, The Illawarra Mercury) The more that know what a scum-bag this guy is the better.

I still like what he did with the XP though - just not how it was financed.

He didn't put it through a chop shop, without turning agro, Don't go taking away from the incredible work the different shops have done. Drago Osteric ? - the guy with the lift-off-front, suicide-door gemini ( think it even won street machine of the year or something ) did all the metal work on that car and it's an effing work of art, lets not even start on the paint.

Bag Ritchie all you want, I'll even bag him with you, but it's a bit rich to go and call a business a chop shop because they work on someones car, only to find out later the owner of the said car is a shifty *****.

Don't take me the wrong way, I don't mean to sound nasty or start a fight, but you can't lay the blame at the feet of a workshop for a customers indiscretions

Correct, and although I feel pretty much the same as everyone else, this thread is becoming a dead horse.

Exactly. He didn't build it. Hilliers built it, Drago Osteric (WHTF would you drop that much cash into a fkn Gemini?) put suicide doors on it (Note, not all the metal work. just the doors) and someone else painted it. Dave Ritchie Just payed for it with Other peoples money.
Now get off my Lawn.

And the fuel cell in the false floor of the boot, and the sheetmetal re-work for the new bonnet, and the cutting of the tubs/inner rear quarters in the **** of it - for the airbags , and the integration of the guards onto the body and and....

No need to get your hackles up at me champ, lot more to it than just a fresh coat of paint. If you think that the effort that was put into that gemini was a joke, then you might want to tell the people who judged it SMOTY as much.

Look its a fantastic car, so is the gemini... pity the guy is a looser (dave, not Drago).
Didnt think id ever hear that someone that has such a great car and ovbiously imagination could be such a low life.

I spend my entire pay each week on my car, its just i bit of a let down when you see top cars like this can really only be build using illegitimate funds, or obtaining some sort of sponsorship. But i know through hard work and dedication i will get there in the end.

This is what give me the Sh1ts. I have been down the show car road, lost the house over it and a few other important people along the way. I dont give a flying f%&k about Dave Richie or his bloody car. The first time i met him i thought he was a low lfve pri%c. If you think that the only way to build one of these top notch show cars is with loads of money you are looking at it from the wrong angle. It is the hard work you put in not just the money, and the freinds that help along the way. As for the car yeah it was nice but when you buy something as good as it already was you cant go to far wrong can you. And as for spending your entire pay each week on your car well nothing is ever worth that much.
