Default UK Version Mondeos

It seems UK people get better spec cars than we do like Active Suspension, Active Radar cruise control, satellite navigation,2.2 Turbo Diesel etc. gee Ford must have thought these may have pushed the price above the $45,000 mark so one begs the question what have they got up their seleves for their next model surley it has to include some of the above options or an prestige model

If you compare prices we still get more for our money here in Australia. Their base spec 1.6L Mondeo is more expensive then the LX is here!!

Also a Zetec spec sedan with leather and Auto in Germany is around the 35000 Euro mark.

Bit like the Yanks paying less for a VE SS over there then what they cost to buy here.

Its a smart move by Ford. Many of their rivals still have no answer to the sort of turbocharged muscle this engine can generate and are a good couple of years behind Ford in their quest to develop such a diesel powerplant. Fords most powerful diesel engine to date is genuinely something to behold, cranking out some 400Nm of torque. This means that at little more than tickover, this Mondeo has more urge to call upon than the peak figure generated by a Ferrari 360 Modena or a BMW M3 GT.
