Smile Focus CC Diesel

Hi, I have asked this question as part of another thread, but it would have been missed by most.

In the UK, you can buy a Focus CC with the Focus diesel motor fitted, which would I am thinking would answer the "lack of grunt" criticisms that the CC attracts, and make for a pretty good package.

Has anyone heard whether Ford has this in the pipeline, as it would make it the only real competitor to the Volkwagen Eos diesel, and one of only 3 convertible diesels available in Australia (the SAAB 9-3 convertible isn't in the same class anyway). :lookedat:

Considering the amount of Focus convertibles selling, I wouldn't be surprised if they pull the entire line of them. I think I've only ever seen one on the roads before.
So to answer your question, I think it is extremely unlikely that FoMoCo are going to bring a CC Diesel here

Fair comment, although it may be the lack of grunt from the motor which is restricting the sales - this may be the answer to the problem.

The Astra convertable is selling double of what the Focus CC is. Something like 60 vs 120 cars...
