Default Rear wheels squeaking at tilt/low speed

AUIII fairmont: when I turn left my rear passenger side wheel often squeaks. Occasionally I also hear a chirp from the driver's side rear when I'm cruising.

I've been told this is a common problem and there's no real fix... I'm hoping that person was wrong because it really sh*ts me to have a 3 year old "luxury" car squeak like an old bomb when I take off or turn a corner. :

My AUII does that as well! at least I know that someone else is experiencing this...

Mine also has a kind or a "creaking" noise coming from the rear when I turn corners at low speed as well... :

Most likely the handbrake sticking....seems to be petty common in AU's, especially the IRS ones.

Yeah, Brakes Plus says it's a handbrake issue. They also said that earlier in the AU years people had the handbrake adjusted under warranty several times but it always came back. I guess I'll have to live with my car putting out "old bomb" squeaks and chirps every now and then. >:(

Change the rotors/pads and tighten the handbrake.. that got mine sorted, everyone and again need to adjust the handbrake to get it sorted..

With standard brakes mine was driving me crazy, now doesn't drive me as crazy..

It's not only AU falcons. BAs do it too, and VX - VZ commondores & Magnas - I've heard the same squeak from heaps of cars.
