Question Mondeo Top Gear Car Of The Year

I know its old news but TOP GEAR last night gave the MONDEO CAR OF THE YEAR.
Why don't FORD use this in adds for the MONDEO instead of the current silly adds ??????????????????

I think because they didn't judge using any criteria and being a mock awards ceremony, it didn't have any credibility to start with. If you cast your mind back, they just plucked the cars nomination out of nowhere!

I don't think I have seen the new Mondeo ad. But yes, it is a pretty good car.

IIRC, Clarkson also wrote something nice about the current (MA) Mondeo in his Times online column. But then again, so did most reviewers in the UK...

Agree - I don't like the Ford ads at all. Thankfully for them, a) Advertising is usually something I ignore, and b) the Mondeo is a good product. And that is why I bought one.

Soon as Clarkson said this I thought "I wonder who will dig this one up on the forums" - thanks for not letting me down.

FFS, they were taking the p!$$, it was a muck around joke thing they had going and Ford would be laughed at if they used it for anything more than comic value. I can just see the ad now - "Buy a Mondeo because Clarkson said he 'didnt mind it' !!!"
