Default BA 6 Stacker Dead....

Hey Guys,

I'm over in WA and own a BA SR with less than 80k kms on it and my indash stacker seems to have died. When I press the CD button opposite the eject button the screen stays blank for a few seconds then turns on the radio. I think the unit may be dead as I know for a fact that there is 6 CDs in it and the icons at the top of the screen say they are all empty.

I have 2 questions.....

1. Is there some way to "reset" the unit to see if that solves my problem?

2. If not, when I send it to you guys can i get my CDs back?

Just wondering how much I am up for as the warranty has expired 4 months ago. Is it common for these units to go even on low km cars?

Is there any sort of procedures I can take to ensure the replacement unit lasts a bit longer? or will I have to repair this unit every couple of years?

Thanks for your time,

Deano

it sounds like you do need a repair on your cd module. we can repair the same one or send you a changeover 6cd player $406.00 plus freight.

you can try and reset the power see if this helps and it might get you going for a while but this fault will occur again sooner or later.

cant guarantee you on how long will the changeover/repair will last as we seen these faults happens on old cards new cars etc...however we do give six months warranty standard on the cd modules we supply or repair.

we will return any cd's found inside the faulty cd player.

please do contact us to arrange phone order.

cheers

your 6cd player is a prestige unit and will not run tft screens, u will need a premium sound 6cd player with tft second hand $1250.00 as a changeover unless you want to have a single cd with tft then its $750.00 as a changeover again

cheers

does the changeover TFT unit include a fascia for the bigger screen with all the CD player and everything attached?

I'd also like to have some RCA outs in the back to allow an amp for a sub to be hooked up, aswell as a powered "AUX" cable for an MP3 player......hey I figure if im gunna replace parts i may as well upgrade them.

Thanks Fadi,

Deano
