Lors of very nice AU's there was great to see. Glad to see an AU win a trophy in a field dominated by B Series cars unfortunately. The XR with the metalic burgundy paint looked awesome.

I had to leave my old girl out in the carpark, (big night the night before and got there late) but there were some very impressive cars there.
Would have liked to get there earlier and put her in, but theres always next year. Some shots that i took on the day. (Most of mine were of the Mustangs, my fathers stang was there on display)

Were you at the Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club parked in Chelsea Ave, i drove past on my way back to the apartment i was staying after driving out to the stadium so i knew how to get there. Only saw the rear bar sticking out, dodgy nose in parking, and was hoping to see it on Sunday at the show

Nah wasnt me, I'm from down the very southern end of the Gold Coast (Actually in NSW on the Tweed Coast). Had a huge weekend starting with a wedding in Brisbane on Friday, a mates 30'th on Saturday, so by the time sunday came around I wasn't exactly in a "good enough condition" to get up early and make it up. I cruised up about 11am.
I checked out your ute while I was there, very clean example. Love the colour.

it is a genuine bar and yes it was damaged that morning taking it of. Stuart the owner of the car and one of the main organisers of the day was a little upset when it happened.
PS thanks 99GHIA the redish black AU XR8 in the photo you have there with the nice paint is mine. I remember talking to you. The paint is actually the standard silouette base with a red pearl and a violet pearl added to it istead of the standard ford blue. The car is on AUfalcon.com with some photo's of it in the sun.

BLACKAUXR8's paint job looks completely different in the two photos and different again in real life, but I think more true-to-life in the photo above than the one of his individually (it looks boring in the shade, but in the sun... phwoar!) Hey Doug, tell Trudy I can see her in a picture so she is famous! : rob_liss_lms10 that's an awesome car, looked very tidy on the day and I noticed it drew a fair amount of attention. I guess people are finally coming around to liking the AU after all! : (hey it only took them, what, 9 years? : ) P.S Some of my photos from the day are here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11230431

Only a week late putting these up!! Just a couple of AU's already shown here, just a different angle.
Some of us must have been too busy taking pics of all the other cars ,we forgot to take any of our own!! Glad someone else took a pic for me.
