Default Top Gear Season 12

Who downloaded the latest from the UK? without giving anything away to those poor people who are way behind on SBS. This was in my opinion, better than anything from Season 11. I laughed my head off..great stuff!

I loved the first episode. I thought the 'Lorry' challenges were the best bits. I did cringe a bit though when the trucks smashed through the 'various objects' at high speed :P

I laughed more in 5 minutes of that than in 5 episodes of TGAU...
Great episode!

It's good to see that after being told they had to cut back on the $$ and expensive inter-country trips that the show hasn't suffered in the least!

It was really good though some of it was set up.
Hammond in the lorry race did not stuff up, I believe he was put last because they knew his car would fall out, so to not hit the others.

After seeing 6 episodes of TGAU and actually beginning to like it, it certainly threw it into perspective, that either a) my tolerances to somewhat poor TV were getting higher(as there was nothing better), or b) TGUK just rewrote the rules when they filmed S12.

It was certainly one of the better episodes in a while, and by the mini preview they showed at the start, its going to not only be a cracker of an episode 1, its going to be a cracker season...

God bless Finalgear...

Of course they knew it would fall out.
It was pushed out by the guy standing in the front driver's side corner of the trailer.

Even my Dad found it funny, but being an ex-truckie himself he picked on things they did wrong, even though some of it was a part of the set up.

the amount of flak he is copping for that prostitute call is quite comical - silly thing to say but you have to take what he says with a grain of salt

just like when he dropped the audi sat nav call - would keep taking you to Poland. Some Polish friends here loved that one

Brilliant! ... as always

Clarkson really pushes the limits of what he can get away with, not only with the Prostitute comment but I also picked up on this one

"In less developed countries like Australia and the USA ........."

I can't remember what the rest of the comment was and what he was referring to?

Can't wait for the next episode!

im loving the whole Clarkson scandal at the moment. but how ridiculous is it, millions upon millions of people watch the show, they get 1500 complaints from lorrie drivers and all of a sudden the call is "Clarkson May Get the Sack"!! pfft please.

What happened to freedom of speech and good old fashioned HUMOUR. bloody whinging poms.

ohhh boo hoo, take the whingers out the back and give them a cup of cement!

this was the comment he made that landed him in hot water

Quote:
"Change gear, change gear, change gear, check mirror, murder a prostitute, change gear, change gear, murder. That's a lot of effort in a day," he said, in a reference to the deaths of five prostitutes in Ipswich.
i think i might email the BBC and thank them for making television as great as it is, and if the minority of viewers feel they need more bubblewrap or the government to do their job as parents they can freely press the channel + or - button, because thats free, otherwise raise your hand and place it over your mouth!

BTW awesome episode i had to skip the star in reasonably priced car just to watch the rest.... how good did the renault suit that paint job, id move out of the way for it, murderer or not :P

Easily the best show on TV, I'm surprised none of the major commercial channels have picked it up here, it would rate a lot higher on 7 or 9, that said, I'd rather it stay where it is

I have to agree about the paint job on that Renault, looked Apocalyptic.

Season 11 was cut short due to the Olympics. I'd expect 10 or so episodes this season.
