hey all just bought a second hand focus diesel, 2007 23k, this thing goes like stink : , i had an xr6 turbo before this and this thing doesnt quite go as good as that but it is surprisingly similar (and way cheaper to run), Very happy, anyone thinking of getting a focus that doesnt take one of these for a test drive would be crazy!!
some people in commodors and falcons who pull out to follow me on an overtaking manouver must get a surprise when they cant keep up!!! HA HA. very happy!!! anyone out there got a DP chip in there focus, i have a dtronic in my 3.0L patrol and am wondering if i should get a chip for the focus? |

320+ NM of torque does that...
even the 2.0 Duratec works well on the highway... But yeh diesel is pretty darn impressive.

Good buy, glad you like it.
Mine is stock, not sure if anyone else has put a chip in theirs yet. Can't say I haven't thought about it though, it has a lot of potential. |

I drove a diesel Focus wagon about a year ago. For a diesel, it was lots of fun to drive provided you could change gear fast enough!
I had a look at the new model Focus wagon a few weeks ago when I was at a Ford dealer. They seem to have a larger boot now, and would be a great family car or work vehicle. They sell new for about $30,000 in NZ - over $10,000 less than the diesel Mondeo wagon with the same engine.
