Just wondering if there is anyone here that works in the engineering or drafting field (structural or civil), or has skills or qualifications in either, and is possibly looking for a job change, or more money???
My company is looking to expand considerably over the next couple of months, and we have all been asked to keep an eye out for potential employees! If this is your field then you will find that we have some exciting stuff on the go at the moment. Want to work on designs for large projects such as: the MCG, many Docklands apartment complexes to 50+ storeys, Airports in Dubai & London, facilities for the Commonwealth Games, and many other future landmarks mostly around Melbourne, but also Sydney, Brisbane and increasingly London? Director has said that very attractive salary packages will be available to people that catch their eye, so it could be a great opportunity for a step up. If youre keen send me a PM and we can go from there. Hopefully there will be a few people from here that can come on board...i need some more ford supporters...it has been very painful on Mondays after Holdens dominate at the track : Cheers Dave

Hey Dave, is there provision for sub-contracting of certain projects?
Also I am in the industry and could at the very least do some scouting for potential employees perhaps.

Gday Dave. Where is the business located? Also what is the company called? I am in the Engineering and Drafting field, however Mech and Elec. I have been drafting for about 4years now and started as a trainee straight out of school and now i am doing engineering externally at uni part time, while working full time on the job. My brother n law is doing the same as me however in the civil, structural field, he may possibly be interested but i'm guessing that the jobs are down south.

I know someone who is very experienced in this area (Drafting, commercial and civil) and may be interested but I don't know if he'd want to commit to it full time. I'll get in touch with him tonight and see if he's interested. ;)
He drives an AUII and will talk cars for hours, although not just Fords. :P

I've got a friend that did mech eng + comp sci at Uni, he used to work designing tow packs for Hayman Reese and is quite competant at CAD work, mainly focused for structual engineering. Someone you could use? PM more information in regards to the company they'd be working for and what sort of work and i'll forward them on.
He's a Ford man through and through too.
