The V3 is the first phone that I've been happy with in 4 years. During that time I have had NEC616,S.Ericcsson 65,t10 and a cuople of others but V3 is the best in all respects. it does not have a 1.3 mpix camera but it operates well as a phone (surprise surprise) and is not delicate. There are no individual keys so it doesnt matter if it gets covered in crap and oil from the car, it wipes off! Love it!!

Unlike the V3, this is a f#$ker of a phone! Had for work, baaad!! Drops out as often as a 3 phone! I meant the Motorola, not the Nokia- The Motorola was very problematic but from the looks of this thread, different people have different experiences with diferent phones. Make sure that there are software upgrades available- the more complicated the phones become, the more prone to issues they are.

I've owned ALOT of phones in my time (well over 20-25) and these are my tips:
1: I'm with 4.9EF Futura. I too got the Nokia 6630 after his write-up on them (thanks Mart!) Amazing little phone that does ANYTHING you want it to. It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera! Let it be known though, they're kinda on the large side... If one of these are out of your price range, go for the model before it. Its a 6600 which does all the same except has a lower resolution camera and 32mb of storage instead of 64mb... Stay away from the V3 RAZR, had one of them and the are . Actually, stay away from any Motorola! Another good cheapy clamshell phone I've had it this one: Its a Samsung E700. Look, it really depends what you want out of a phone. If it helps, I Have one of these for sale for $150... Its a Nokia 6610i. I hope this helps :O |

Mate, don't even bother looking at the rest.
Motorola V3 RAZR is a class above all other flip phones. I've had mine for quite a while and have not had a single problem. I find the quality of actually speaking on the phone is much better at both ends and i've never had any issues with reception (where my Nokia 3200 failed badly in the same areas on the same plan). They are just the best - i've had ALOT of phones in the past 12 months and this tops them all (and it pulls alot more looks). Get the black one, they look much better. Did i mention my dad owns a K700i and my brother owns a Samsung D500 and they both want to swap phones with me? I've heard so many rumours about Motorola and bad quality (yet haven't seen anywhere near as many problems in real life compared to Nokia and Sony Ericsson). I have not had a single problem with mine, and my mum has had a flip phone Motorola for over 3 years. All my relatives own V3's now. |

Just bought one of these E730 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Samsung-E...QQcmdZViewItem
495 including postage. Prior to this I had a E700 which im giving to my sis What i really love is the colour screen on the front, you dont realise how much it helps you until you downgrade to a non-screen on the top of the phone. You have open the phone to see whos ringing... and if it is someone you dont wanna talk to... bugger. Another good feature of the front screen is you taking photos looking at yourself, instead of the guess and shoot on the candy-bar phone or non-colour front screen. Highly reccomend the E700-E730 range. BTW if you wanna rebadged E720 cheap, search Ezio in ebay |
