Won't be worth much next year when 888 go to the other side.Pretty pointless exercise, they could of at least used a V8 manual.

Looks like Fairmont Ghia leather seats. Pretty gay for an XR in that beige colour and without matching door trims.

I have to admit that I did not see the car that you are referring to but all the promotion cars I have seen have at least had a real V8SC front bar and painted in the same paint. The 888 promo car I have seen in the flesh had real 888 racing wheels on it and the paint was the same as the real thing, chrome effect.

Just call me suspicious but don't you think that if you were selling a real 888 promo car, you would make a song and dance about it in the ad would't you?

Its a private mock up in my opinion.

Or made up by one of the sponsors?
Back when it was Team Betta, there was an XR parked down at the local Betta Electrical. Same setup as this (XR with all the signwriting)

Maybe, I still believe not a 888 workshop product.

Way over priced for a 2003 xr6t considering it has 100,000 km more than average. The interior has a few issues and I would love to see the VIN, starting to wonder if it is a true XR.

Hope he sells it before 888 has lion badges on the front, then it will be worth nothing.

Cool 888 race car

Hi all
If this is the one that was on Ebay a few months back it was advertised as a 888 workshop promotion car they had two of them for sale in Brisbane
one was a 2001 BA a bit sus to me for $5k and this one(maybe) for auction I bid $5k on it but it went crazy and sold for $25k
the first one didnt have a vin No they told me it was a test mule from Ford
anyway on the FF site someone picked it as an AU with a BA XR front
so if it is hes done a quick 8 grand
thanks John

Parked across the road from this the other day in Broken Hill. Seller is local Ford dealer Far West Auto ( note the "FWA" plates) and has been used as a promo car by them. Whether they got this from Ford or made it up themselves I don't know. Far West Auto or Far Worst Auto as they're known by some in BH was originally John Williams Motors where I bought my first Ford, a ZL Fairlane, back in 1985. Then dealer principal, John Williams, is now the state MP.

I just got off the phone with the seller actually (thought it would be interesting to know more about this car), apparently its not a 888 car at all, its a vodafone promo car like the team betta promo cars of 2003ish. So its just a standard XR6T with other seats (didnt ask cause they are Fairmont leather options.

Nothing special at all.
