Speaking of serious...i noticed your posts RE the Coyote Rumours JPFS1. I wonder what they will do RE fuel burn with that motor too (not that it is critical to that market)...given the BOSS basically matches the supposedly great AFM V8 i'd say coyote will show another noticeable improvement.....

Therefore, Ford would achieve a higher result entering their Turbo instead of their N/A engine. The Turbo has a higher ADR fuel consumption figure but would use the same as the N/A cruising at a constant 100/110, therefore by using the Turbo engine, Ford are maximizing their result. |

The Mondeo argument is strong from a logical point of view, but I think Sportswagons aren't purchased based on logic.
I tend to think people who buy Sportswagens are those who want a Commodore that's a little different as opposed to wanting a wagon per se. Besides, how many private buyers would pick up an Omega anyway? I can't see this strategy having too much of an impact. Good to see them pushing though.

Have you guys seen the comeback by holden recently (I think its recent). A black commy SIDI going past what looks like a mazda 6 or mondeo and the line was "more economical than a 4 cylinder".
It just went on and on with crap and all i could do was laugh and yell lair at the TV...My missus made a good point though. "They might lie but they make good adds". That sums it all up.

I saw that ad yesterday. Another good one by Ford.
Advertising is what you need to spend big on to try to change market perception. I hope they keep at the current sort of ad campaign. With the product line up on the improve, we'll have to start making up some ground on the others soon. Well at least I hope so. LOL! GK

Its a brilliant ad, hits Holden where it hurts, but unfortunatley the general public just look for the badge. The Falcon is so far above the Commonwhore is so many areas, but so many people just buy the Commy cos its a Commy??? :
