need to know what way the standard fuel pump flows on the 1600 crossflow. does the angle peice at the top of the pump feed the carby or is it fed from the tank?

Don't know about your particular model, but they normally have in and out stamped on the pump.

These standard mechanical pumps are a 'lift Pump' hold the pump as if it was fitted to the block the lower pipe goes to the tank, the upper pipe goes to the carb/fuel filter
If in doubt take the pump off, connect a pipe to one end dip in some fluid and operate the pump by hand...remember to clear the pump out before refitting to the engine Cheers Engine Guy |
