I can't believe what I saw tonight, a Vic state politician busted driving on a cancelled licence, on the phone no less.
Now, first thing is he now has a criminal record as he had a one month jail term suspended to good behaviour, doesn't this by all state laws now exempt him from holding office?? Secondly and more importantly but doesn't this also fall under the anti hoon legislation, not sure on this one but shouldn't he have his car confiscated, oh hang on that's right he was actually driving around in his tax payer funded car. So tell me Mr Plod, where is the justice?? You get pushed to screw us over and many of you (not necessarily you on here just in general) quite willingly follow orders, why then isn't there an outcry when a poli quite clearly gets away with what he is supposed to be legislating against.

It erks me more due to the fact that they keep harping on about "safer roads" and "safer drivers" yet here is one of their own doing exactly what he shouldn't be, quite dangerously too being on the phone at the same time.

It's had 30 something views in an hour, by 7am tomorrow morning the same piece posted in the opinion section of the Herald Sun would have been read by half a million people over a broader range of demographics and with differing opinions of the subject.

It's been gaining momentum on the TV news anyway so no need, more watch the box than what read the rag.
