Unhappy Blew up the '96 XR6, now need engine - bummer!

Hey 'yall, I blew up the XH on the weekend and now I have a cold *coughs*

No doubt Chief mentioned this http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...19#post3084419

It's sad, I know, but I will rebuild the old motor when the ute get's it's turn, right now I need a seco engine to tide me over for a year or two...

Anyone know where I can get a red motor that runs?

(my loaner car is a Vectra... kill me now!)

If anyone has seen a motor or had a look at the current build of a turbo diesel Merc in Nat's signature, it is good for a laugh.

Smile New Engine Is Here!

Hooray! $450 + $268 shipping. Apparently has 210,000k and runs well... let's hope so.

Left: Buggered motor.

Now I need to save heaps of $$$ to send that old bottom end to Jim Mock so it can have a second life. Plus, I like matching numbers.

Pics note: don't click them, soft pwn ads sponsor that image host. - Imageshack.us was down today.

Unhappy New engine failure!

No oil pressure - so up she goes again. K-frame drop - I'll be buggered if i'm pulling the engine out again.

Another original-engine-out pic from before. Has been kept for recon later.

Sump drop to find problem - all looks good...

Oil pump bypass shaft jammed open. Replaced with hi-flow tickford unit, new. Now I'm soooo broke I'm accepting care parcels, please send them c/o Brett O'Neill Moree ;-)

Not a bad effort there mate. Certainly turned out better than your old green EF wagon. Warning to all, don't try and do body work while having a few beers.
