Good evening
Our current server is being relocated to a new data centre and thus we will have some downtime this forthcoming weekend. The window for relocation is as follows: 10:00 PM CDT June 18, 2010 - 10:00 PM CDT June 19, 2010 This equates to: 1.00 PM AEST JUNE 19th, 2010 to 1.00 PM AEST JUNE 20th, 2010 We have been advised that it won't take the full 24 hour period but there will be an outage during that period which could take up to that entire window. IP address and DNS remain unchanged. After a short settling in period, we will be relocating the database to a new server in that data centre. This will also involve around 4 hours of downtime while the data is copied across but the plan is to perform this work between the hours of 0200-0600 on whatever day we migrate. Further advice will be provided closer to the time. The new server has about twice the disk capacity, twice the memory and about eight times the processing capacity of the current one and in addition it will be installed on a considerably higher bandwidth port - all of which should assist in resolving any performance issues we have been experiencing. Regards Russ

As you may well have noticed today, the migration ended up taking about 10 hours including testing and everything is now back up and running smoothly.
Cheers Russ

Thanks Russ, I did miss my Saturday night's cruising the forums, but it's all to the good. Thanks for the upgrade.
