hey peeps..
talking to a guy on msn that knows everything about everything.. and i basically wanted to know the differnces between an Eb to Au 6 vs the BA 6.. apart from the twin cam and stuff like that.. whats the other differences.. and are parts interchangeable or identical from each model.. one thing hes 100% set on is that the EF-EL intake and exhaust manifolds will bolt onto the BA non turbo 6's, and the manifolds are exactly the same, eg same part number etc etc.. and hes also saying that putting a BA 6 into antyhing from Ea to Au isnt that difficult : thanks Matt |

As for dropping a BA motor into an EA-AU.. sure, it will fit, but good luck messing with the computer to get it working. AU's have EECV, BA's have a COMPLETEY different ECU setup.

the ports are a different shape.
if u want a BA style intake manifold, use an EF/EL one.

Surely swapping a BA 6 into an EA with computer and all wouldn't be an overly difficult proposition.

BA ECu wont work in an E series unless you justa about wire everything up including stuff like Radio's, Keyelss Immobilisation, it's a big pain in the butt. You could always run an aftermarket ECU, but generally its too much trouble.
The BA is a very different from the EA 3.9
