Last Friday dropped my car off to the Ford dealership to get the cat done on my Ford Focus (LR), after leaving it there for the whole day, I asked them how long did it take to change? The manager said 1 hour. So what I would like to know is why they keep cars for the whole day? It wastes my time by not having a car and it also wastes there space. You think they could also wash my car while its just sitting there, but never happened. But the new one is in. Doesn't rattle no more. Just the clutch does, which means I have been doing to many rev and dumps but I will soon fix that. I get better fuel consuption too, and a beefy exhaust note to boot! The only thing I can complain about is the Ford Dealership not getting the right cat in the first place and waiting another week for the right one, and having my car for 9 hours when its only a 1 hour job

Ive got the same sort of complaints about ford.
They take ur car for hours and hours, they are rude to you and then say theres nothing wrong, or order in the wrong parts. I took my car back to ford because i could smell a sulphuric odour comming from the exhaust, they had it for 5 hours whilst i WAITED. (they said itd only be an hour or so) they told me they were just gona jack the car up and make sure everything underneath is okay then thatd be it. Anyway, the young mechanic guy FINALLY came and said ''the only time i smelt it was when i flogged your car'' as you can imagine i got in my car feeling ****ed off and noticed there were two blocks of fuel LESS than when i dropped it there, and if your familiar with the fiesta dash.. two blocks is like a quater of a tank. Anyway, over, point is... i know what your feeling and you were actually pretty lucky. in future, if ur cat screws up again buy a hiflow cat from an exhaust shop, will take bout 30 mins to fit IF that and you wont be using ur fuel and time dropping your car off to the ''service experts'' at ford.
