Who taught the yanks about evolving platforms instead of expensive newbys...

And hey, don't worry about the old DTS, it's making way for a large FWD sedan called XTS
that's based on a super sized Epsilon II, Buick Lucerne and Chev Impala will also join it.
And they'll be importing the next Commodore.

Where did you find out about the next Mustang being D2C?

Mays has indicated that the next big change was to be with styling, not necessarily platform engineering....
That isn't to say that FNA haven't evolved the '14 MY Mustang from the D2C.....

Google 2014 mustang. Every article mentions IRS. Someone has leaked that info clearly.

No they haven't, it's all still rumor because 2005 Mustang was originally designed with CB IRS,
there's great expectation From some vocal bloggers that IRS will be standard on the 2014....
This is what you're seeing when you google, those "leaks" are pure speculation.

But could also be right...we should start seeing some of the car late next year or early 2013..

Bloggers... journo's. Everyone. It's almost fact now. Whether the car goes global or not (Highly unlikely), it's touted to go IRS. Mustang and Falcon are becoming one. That's the way I see it.

The ground work's already been done for CB IRS... so it's all go. Falcon will probably have to work off it's platform though.

Lets hope Ford re-engineers the way the diff is held in the subframe with CB, because within the first week the Mustang forum would be full of people with destroyed bushes. Sure CB is fine for a Focus, but it was never intended for RWD, letalone high powered abuse that 'Mustangers' are known for.

Tough going to Dearborn with a business plan for car that is only selling 1500-2000/mth,
they need a little bit of good fortune to smile upon them maybe Territory and EcoLPI is it....

If it can underpin Mustang... then it should be a good business plan. Well Mullaly isn't going to go. "Hey but it's an American Icon!... leave it alone!"

I'd say he is talking about the early failures of the diff bush. The only time I hear about big failures with CB is when very strong bushes go on and it breaks something much more expensive in the back.
