Personally I think the agenda might be to test the waters in what Australians think they prefer with regards to lowering FC.
They are going to have three options, all good in their own right. So when the next falcon/platform/import whatever comes around I dont think there will be the same options. One, or two wont sell in numbers, or a trend will appear and that might be the future direction. Maybe, just a hunch aswell. IMO EB should have been left for the cars its already developed for and falcon use LPG/Diesel....in the short term anyway.

With the 4cyl. Falcon will be like a cheap BMW 3 series.
