Hi guys, my brothers AU ran 15.06 at calder on friday night.
It is a 5spd forte and almost stock, the only mod being a LSD diff with 3.7 gears. He was running faster times every run with the best being the last one, I think with the current setup he can get in the 14's. What times has anyone else ran with the same/similar setup in a 5spd (any stock XR6's out there)? |

Any chance of posting up the time slip? I'd love to know what the 60ft was - must be well under 2.0s

Id hazzard a guess at a 2.3 sec 60ft. Anything under 2 secs is going damn quick. My Legacy ran a 13.01 @105mph with a 1.91 60ft.

The 60 ft was around 2.1 with a 2800rpm launch, could do better there was no sign of traction issues. MPH was around 91.5, will post the timeslip soon, gotta fix the scanner.
The car has done 150000km. |

A stock 5 speed manual AU forte is flat out to pull 15.8 so this is awful quick for a stock car with a lower diff. 91mph TS tells me this engine is putting out at least 140rwkw. Do you really know the car is stock or is that just a guess?

Definitely not "stock" ... should change the title to "near stock" ... or "barely modified"

It ran a 15.096 and it is stock apart for the diff and the pod filter(not in box just exposed). the approx times that we ran were 16.1 15.5 15.3 15.1 and 15.096, it feels that it can go that little bit faster wit a better launch.
We were running 17" ba wheels with SP3000 tyres, the standard tyres for ba XR's. If all goes well we will see some of you at the e series V AU day at heathcote. |

good time mate and i won't take that away from you but...
thread title is "stock AU ran 15 flat at calder" I'm not the brighteset person here (no really I'm not) but first it was stock, then it had 3.7 gears (I'd call that a fairly signifficant mod), then it had a pod filter, then it had 17" BA XR wheels, then to boot it ran a 15.09- then a 15.096- by the thread title I pictured a taxi spec forte rolling up and running a 15.00 lol seriously guys well done- not taking the ****, it's just that "stock" is such a loose term around here.......... welcome to the forums- hope to see more guys...
