HO'74'RD (hot ford) HOT'44D (hot4 ford) BLK'44D (black ford) GR'34'VS (greaves) (my surname) Going on Gold on Black Number plates. I like the hot ones the best, id like my surname, but it looks like "Gangsta's R34 Skyline and VS Commodore" |

I would choose the one that is your surname, as it is a personal plate.

what are personalised plates worth in NSW? $160 bucks a year or something? how about you put it towards something decent like an exhaust or lowering job, something that will actually improve the car.
to me, personalised plates are a waste of money, the expensive ones make sense but are a ripoff at $500 a year in NSW and $1200 once-off in QLD and the cheaper ones rarely make any sense to anyone except the owner. to me, GR-34-VS doesn't spell GREAVES, it spells GR-34-VS, which means as much to everyone else as whatever is already on the standard plates. HO-74-RD DOES NOT spell HOT FORD, it spells HO 74 RD, which makes NO sense! HOT-44D and BLK-44D make marginally more sense, but still don't read as HOT 4 FORD and BLACK FORD to me and I doubt anyone else would be cracking that code either. but hey, if you feel the need to voluntarily increase your rego in return for some plates that you will be constantly explaining the meaning of to everyone then go for it |

Thanks for your input blutura. I am still deciding if I want to order some Eibach spring from the UK or just get Kings or Pedders. Wheels I will consider when the tyres on the stock 16s start getting low. So I am already planning something to improve the car, performance wise. Pretty good since I don't have the car yet...
If I was to make a new post, title it what does this plate mean, and in the body "HO74RD", I'm guessing the majority of people online will get it. I don't really care if you don't like custom plates or not, thats not what this thread was asking. |

i like HOT44D.
the surname one is only good for those that know you. otherwise its pointless. i think personalised plates add that finishing touch to a car, and give the car an identity.....

Good point there. Although an identity could be bad, this car is either in a garage at home or security underground carpark at work. ;) |
