Iam involved with a country show on the Eyre Peninsula. We had someone organising a 'Show n Shine' but they have just pulled out and Ive been lumbered with the rest of organising.
We have 10 classes that will cover cars (4), utes (2), 4WD (2), bikes (1) and trucks/other (1) These will all have a !st prize of $100 But how the stuff do you judge these? Whats the criteria for different classes etc. Cars will be pre 1970 factory std, post 1970 fact. std pre 1970 modified post 1970 modified utes std factory modified Help I need advise.

depends how far into promuting the show you are, as in have you already advertised that these classes will be judjed. another way of doing it is to just have choice awards, ie; entrants choice- peoples choice- policemans choice- show presidents choice etc.
that is what we did here at a show i helped the local school put on last july when we faced the difficulty of finding judjes. it worked out pretty well and i havent heard of any complaints. it takes a lot of the politics out of the prize side of the show because the prizes are going to one persons personal favorite vehical, there are no arguments about wether someone has all their nuts lined up or if Bob thinks his paint is shinier then Dick`s,
