Bout right. Your car has 3.45 diff gears. Other AUs with higher gearing rev a little lower.

Stock AU autos run a 3.08, I think the Futura and Fairmonts ran 3.23 (plus wagons) and Ghias ran the 3.45 along with the XRs.

My stock AU Futura wagon runs at 1800-1900 rpm at 100 kmph.
My AU SR sedan with converted 5 speed and 3.7 diff runs at 2200ish at 100kmph.

They rev a bit harder but still good on fuel on the highway, makes it nice and easy to turn the tyres, good way to wind up the ls1 boys, they can light up 1st easy but need to dump the clutch to get 2nd, Incan just go round a corner in 2nd and floor it and hang the **** end out in my ute 3rd in a bit of wetness, they don't like being told how my 12 year old 5 litre fries them easier than there newer 5.7 or 6.0
