I hat slot car tracks....but "my" toy was an electrive train set.
Track would have been the size of a table tennis table, maybe slightly smaller. Had two tracks from memory, inner one was a figure 8 that went over the top of a tunnel and with an overpass. Outer track went through a tunnel through one set of points, or under the overpass through the other. Had some model buildings to put around the ouside and paper mache terrain on and around the tunnel.

I had the thunderloop thriller, whilst also having a playstation and PS2. I remember giving myself a zap with it as I had long hair as a teen, it was wet and I leant over the track. My hair touched the track and I got a nice shock lol. In the end the cars burned out so went back to video games. If my mum still has it I might get it and buy new cars and set it up for my kids.
this exact set, same cars http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/afx-tomy-...item4ab1368e62 Last edited by Spudz27; 29-11-2011 at 05:48 PM. |

loved slot cars when i was young (early 90's), though my experience was shortlived only a couple months, i discovered girls and they were more fun to play with i bought my first and only slot car at 14 for $50 fixed it all up did a little tweaking. i was fortunate i had a slot car track in my hometown (Seven Hills) first squeeze of the pistol, it took off like crazy and flew off the track on the first corner, was with a few mates we just looked at each other and knew had something special it wasn't the prettiest car, nor was it close it wasn't even painted, but it won a couple of tournies.
