not sure on cost now a days (i havn't been up there for a while) but you put your car over the pits every year. new cars don't need to, until they are 3 or 4 years old.

my car is very well looked after the problem is that it is to loud and to low and when you car is 25 years old it tends to get a few little things

How loud, is it over the decibal limit?
How low,does it bottom out on speed bumps? You will find the MVR guys very good when you go over the pits...don't use a private checker they might just try to get money for stuff that does'nt need fixing. Try the N.T. MVR website for more info.
