Hi guys,
I've called around 5 dealers seeing what they have to offer. I've found one dealer with an MK2 XR6 ecoLPI but not really in the colour I want. I am actually hoping to get a G6E as they don't allow lux. pack on the XR6 (idiots) and I am trying to find if some places have any 2011 MK2 Hail Damaged G6E's EcoLPI for sale? Has anyone heard anything? |

I heard radio ads on 3AW last 2 days for Knox Ford, Vic just advertising hail damaged cars with full warranty, no mention of insurance though.
edit, just found flyer: http://www.knoxford.com.au/ssl/asset...ail%20Sale.pdf |

Thank you for that Dr. Smith! I am going to check the flyer now! What do you mean about the insurance part, though?

Only hearsay, however I would check with your insurance company about any restrictions on purchasing a hail damaged car, bearing in mind these come with full factory warranty and are brand new so it should be okay, but I always like to get this info in writing or at least confirmed. Good luck.

I spoke to a dealer and he said that it won't appear anywhere apparently. Not on VIC roads records, etc - so essentially no one will know, not even the insurance companies?

Also one of the question the insurance company ask's when they insure the car is. Does the car have any un repaired accident or hail damage. If you say no, they may deny a claim based on you not telling them it had hail damage. I would try the pickles and manheim auction |

I'd be checking out paintless repair options, they do good work and may be able to pull a lot of the dents out. |

The ones I've seen for sale in the newspapers at dealerships, have already been repaired, and come with a full paint warranty. There should be no question regarding insurance.

lux pack is a 4k premium on top of xr6, 1 out of 10 buys will opt for it.

Hi Yift, what other cars you guys got in the dealership?
I was interested, and the dealer I called had XR6 LPi but I'm really not keen on not having lux pack. Sounds an*l but I want leather int. + GPS as standard so I don't have to use my bloody TomTom all the time. Consider XR6 LPi wouldn't give that to you even if you wanted it, I'm left looking for a G6E LPi but I don't think any of them have it. Not to mention, out of 4 or 5 dealers I did call, 2 of them never returned my calls. |
